The city continuously looks to improve infrastructure to aid in safe transportation routes for bicyclists and pedestrians. Throughout the month of September, city staff and volunteers will be conducting the annual bicycle and pedestrian count. These counts help measure changes in the number of people biking and walking and to also determine whether improvements are needed or should be prioritized at the count sites. For more information about the count, visit www.HarrisonburgVA.gov/bicycle-pedestrian-count.
