Regarding your "Managing Polluted Runoff" discussion, with an eye toward establishing stormwater fees how about publishing, or otherwise make public the city's historical and latest numbers regarding stormwater runoff? This would give some grounds upon which Harrisonburg citizens could see exactly what "stormwater runoff" actually means.

Thank you for your comment. The City hosted its first open house on this matter on November 12 and will be hosting a second one on December 2 from 5:30pm-6:30pm at Spotswood Elementary School. We hope you can join us for the open house. Stormwater Advisory Committee members and city staff will be available to answer questions more in-depth. We also encourage you to review the materials we have posted at http://www.harrisonburgva.gov/stormwater-utility which explain what stormwater and polluted runoff are and why we are working to stop and reduce polluted runoff. If you have any additional questions, please contact Ms. Thanh Dang, Transportation & Environmental Planning Manager, at Thanh.Dang@HarrisonburgVA.gov or 540-434-5928.

Apparently, implementation of the program is not going well. Recommend tax bills be put off until a host of issues are resolved.

Mr. Waddell: We would like to hear from you to understand what program elements are not going well. If you have questions about the stormwater utility fee assessed for your property or questions about the credit program, please contact Harrisonburg Public Works at stormwater@HarrisonburgVA.gov or 540-434-5928. We are hosting two workshops to answer questions about the credit application on May 6 and May 12. Information about the workshops can be found here, http://www.harrisonburgva.gov/stormwater-utility. Credit applications are due July 1 and the first stormwater utility bills will be mailed out on October 1 and due December 5, 2015. Thank you.

comment...I clicked on the link for the map to show impervious areas of Harrisonburg, put in my address and it showed me where I live (which I already know) but gave no further info as to what is being calculated.
