Can anything be done about the traffic light timing on Port Republic Road as it crosses the interstate? A good day is when I have to stop for only three of the four lights.

The Public Works Department's Traffic Engineering Division maintains the timing and operation of the signalized intersections in the City. Let us know if there is a specific time you are experiencing this delay and the crews will evaluate the signal timing to see if any adjustments need to be made.

comment...Turning left onto Reservoir from Neff is a real headache and the left lane backs up down the hill. Could you increase the time the left green arrow is operating to prevent such backups?

The left turn signal from Route 33 to Chestnut Ridge does not seem to function properly when it is late at night. (It works well during the day when there is more traffic.) I have timed the wait time for a green arrow and it is over 5 minutes. Sometimes the light never triggers and I have ended up moving back into the left lane on Route 33 and continuing on to the next light which I believe is at Martin's grocery store. I have observed this problem several times over many months. This seems to occur between 11:00 p.m. and into the early morning hours.

Any future sidewalk or roadwork projects must include wider walkways to accommodate bikers and walkers
