What you're promoting is lawlessness and anarchy. If laws are optional to obey or enforce it turns out very badly very quickly. While I personally feel what you're suggesting is foolishness of historic level, at the end of the day we need laws, if for some reason you think it prudent to allow the world to pillage our country than it needs to be written into law. Advocate changing the laws not ignoring the ones you don't like.
By definition an investment is an allocation of resources that will provide a good return. This is something solar power can't do. Solar energy is a great resource, I like it, I play with it but the cold hard fact is that currently the primary thing solar energy accomplishes is taking American money and giving it to China. In 90% of the country solar energy has no pay off. All the houses and business you see converting to solar are loosing money doing so. Most solar contractors will be forthright enough to tell you that the payoff to solar conversion is decades out, what they don't tell you is that once in that window equipment will or already has pushed the payoff out indefinitely. Currently almost all solar equipment is manufactured in China so not only is it not efficient, even using it hurts our economy. The world over, the most efficient, greenest energy source is utilizing the most abundant resources to that area and in the Shenandoah Valley solar just isn't it. But you will never hear this on network news. While I like solar, it is simply less efficient and more costly to residents and just not practical in this area as a mass utility when better are available.
In the words of my doctor "anyone in the medical field who would suggest inhaling smoke into the lungs is anything other than a health hazard should be disbanded" I have never heard anyone in the medical field state anything other than marijuana is a horrific detriment to society. there are legal drugs that can do far better than marijuana for every symptom, just because a user claims it's all that helps his symptoms doesn't make it true. Over 20,000 people are killed a year in Mexican wars providing drugs to the US. Every known statistic says that legalizing or normalizing marijuana makes it worse. When more people are using and it is more socially acceptable more pot is needed. The flow of illegal pot to Colorado has nearly doubled since they legalized it on the state level. Who pays for heavily taxed, expensive, less potent, regulated marijuana when you can buy more potent pot at 1/5th the cost off a black market with almost no consequence to you? over 20,000 people dead a year. Let that sink in! https://www.newsweek.com/mexicos-drugs-war-created-worlds-deadliest-conflict-zone-after-syria-survey-606558
No kill shelters hurt animals. To my knowledge there has never been a sustainable city no kill shelter in existence. Just can't work. If our current shelter went no kill it would be full and turning away animals(defeating it's purpose) in 48 hours. We have actual people hungry and hurting in the city, spending millions on an unsustainable animal cause is immoral.
